Dominica 1

Dominica 1 is the first national digital news portal of the Commonwealth of Dominica, published in English for Dominicans at home and across the diaspora. It reports the whole life of the island: the work of the Government and the House of Assembly in Roseau; parish and village news from Portsmouth to Grand Bay and the Kalinago Territory; weather, hurricane preparedness and official alerts from the Office of Disaster Management and the Dominica Meteorological Service; the economy from agriculture, fisheries and geothermal energy to tourism and the cruise season; Creole culture, Carnival, Independence and the World Creole Music Festival; the environment of the Nature Isle; and Dominica's place in the OECS, CARICOM and the wider Caribbean. Dominica 1 writes plainly, verifies before it publishes, and treats official warnings as a public-service duty.
